Tras el estreno de su documental ‘Miss Americana” para Netflix y unas semanas después del lanzamiento del Lyric Video y un directo del mismo tema, ya tenemos aquí el videoclip The Man de Taylor Swift. Un visual dirigido por la propia artista, en el que vemos a un hombre de negocios llevar una vida de “éxito”.

De esta manera, con una gran ironía vemos reflejadas escenas que para muchas personas de nuestra sociedad pasarían inadvertidas si fueran protagonizadas por hombres, pero que sí serían las mujeres las protagonistas serían duramente cuestionadas. El vídeo termina con la propia Taylor sentada en la silla de directora del filme mostrándonos la historia que ella ha tenido que sufrir en su trayectoria musical al hilo de lo que denuncia la letra de su tema.
