Durante la pasada jornada, uno de los estrenos musicales del día fue el lanzamiento de la canción Midnight Sky de Miley Cyrus. Un tema cuyo sonido nos transporta a un lugar cargado de luces de neón en el que sobresale su potente voz rasgada y los tintes de música dance fusionados con el rock.

Respecto a la letra, esta canción trata sobre su espíritu libre que permaneció encerrado durante algunas de sus pasadas relaciones sentimentales. Buena muestra de ello son las frases: “Pasaron muchos años con mis manos atadas a tus cuerdas” o “Nací para correr, no le pertenezco a nadie, oh no. No necesito ser amada por ti“. Por lo que son muchas las personas que lo han interpretado como un claro mensaje dirigido a sus exparejas, y más concretamente hacia Liam Hemsworth.

Asimismo, el tema viene acompañado por un videoclip realizado por ella misma en el que la podemos ver en escenas cantando muy sensual con diferentes outfits en los que destaca la firma Chanel y hasta en una piscina de bolas desnuda.
