Durante este año 2020, hemos podido disfrutar los temas “No Time To Die” y “My Future” de Billie Eilish. Pero la cosa no se ha quedado ahí, ya que el pasado jueves 12 de noviembre se publicó el nuevo tema Therefore I am de Billie Eilish.
Una canción producida por su hermano Finneas O’Connell en la que su voz tiene una fuerte presencia entre diferentes distorsiones digitales con una base que nos sumerge en el hip-hop. Asimismo, en la portada del tema que publicó en su cuenta de Instagram podíamos ver un busto blanco con la que parecía hacer referencia a René Descartes, autor de la popular cita “Pienso, luego existo”.
En cuanto a la letra del tema que ha sido compuesta por la joven y su hermano, Billie les advierte a aquellas personas que intentan usar su nombre que ella no es su amiga ni nada con mezcla de ironía y altivez.
“Therefore I am” viene acompañada por un visual dirigido por ella misma. En este videoclip la podemos ver sola recorrer un centro comercial vacío y robando comida hasta que la pilla un agente de seguridad del mismo y sale corriendo.
