Durante la pasada jornada se publicó una colaboración que, sin duda, marcará un antes y un después en el pop. Estamos hablando del tema Monster de Shawn Mendes junto a Justin Bieber. Y es que ambos canadienses se han unido para crear un tema muy íntimo y personal, dejando a un lado las posibles envidias y competencia que podían existir entre ellos.
“Monster” se encuentra producido por Matthew Tavares, Kaan Güneşberk y Frank Dukes y en ella, ambos artistas narran cómo la sociedad les coloca en un pedestal debido a la fama y luego les derriba de un plumazo. Es decir, que cuentan todo lo que se encuentra detrás de los focos, el sufrimiento que han vivido y muestran su vulnerabilidad.
La canción viene acompañada por un visual obra de Colin Tilley. Un videoclip en el que vemos a ambos artistas subirse a un pedestal en la oscuridad de la noche.
